As we entered Christmas 2022, The Wellington City Mission was faced with a problem.  They were experiencing four times the level of regular demand as residents grappled with the fallout from COVID and the rising cost of living crisis.

Fundraising was key, but it was also expensive.

That’s why we partnered with them to launch The Silent Night - a fundraising event at Sky Stadium in Wellington… which no one went too, and nothing happened.

We promoted the event like a regular concert - selling tickets through Tickettek, but by ensuring no-one went and nothing happened, the Mission was able to keep 100% of ticket sales to underwrite their critical service to the city.

The support from the media industry was unprecedented - front-page of The Dominion Post, five television broadcast segments, and fifty other articles helped drive more than $350,000 in donations.

We managed to sell out Sky Stadium, filling it with the generosity of Wellingtonians, for an event where nothing happened.
