The Mitey Drive
Our mental health statistics are the worst in the OECD, and they’re going backwards. Two-thirds of children don’t talk to their parents about how they’re feeling.
So they may be seen, but they’re not heard.
That’s why Land Rover went “above and beyond” to support their long-term brand ambassador Sir John Kirwan by creating The Mitey Drive - a 2,100km journey to quite literally drive change for his children’s mental health charity Mitey.
Sir John Kirwan undertook a landmark journey across Aotearoa, completing a series of public events and private fundraisers to raise $1 million - and turning this important issue into a nationwide conversation.
We delivered 16 events in two weeks.
Notched up 80+ pieces of coverage.
Two front-page features
And an eye-watering 26 broadcast hits.
Better yet, the campaign hit its target - raising $1 million, which allowed Mitey to roll its programme out to 40 more Kiwi schools, truly changing the face of mental health in our country.
